Sparks some distant memories.

This must have taken many many  hours..reminds me of some sidewalk treatments in Maputo n Mozambique..but those were more  black white and brown

OK I admit, i really like aliteration :) but i really did find a beautiful example of a decorative pebble pathway.

I was driving along a lovely coastal road near where i live in northern california, and stopped at a 'new age' gift store in a little town called inverness. The store is in a converted old victorian house, with a sweet front garden filled with Buddha and Quan Yin statues. As i entered through their lovely little garden for noticed the patio and pathway surface.

I love the detail in the corner, with the nautilus fossil.

It looks like they have used 6 different colors of pebbles in various shapes and sizes.

Teal, burgundy red, burn umber / rust, dark blue green, light grey and pale ivory.

It is now my mission to find out how they made this beautiful thing.
